Day 12: Albuquerque

This section of New Mexico is speckled with greenery.  The highway from Manzano Campground to the city somehow found a passageway through the mountains.  Once we were through, we headed to the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology.  People have lived in this area for thousands of years.  Every once in a while I'll hear about a construction site in England grinding to a halt because they hit a trove of 500 year old stuff.  Around here it seems that is too recent to bother with.

Sweet Potato Sandwich
After lunch we headed to the Old Town section.  There are lots of jewelry, hats, trinkets, and more.

It's almost time to head back, but first a quick stop to see the Petroglyphs.

Another successful day of vacation.
