Day 16: More Ancient Drawings

We called another audible (football term) the day before.  We wanted to see an archaeology site that required reservations.  They were full that day, but they had an opening the next day.  We made the reservation.

Do you remember the switch backs that I thought I wouldn't need to take the camper down?  Well, that didn't quite work out.  We drove the camper down the canyon... slowly.

We made our way to the archaeology site.  This required driving on 7 miles of dirt roads.  We dropped the camper off at a no-service-campsite and just took the van in.  That was a good decision.  The parking area of the archaeology site was not designed for any RVs.

After that we headed to the Grand Canyon.
